I cloned my wife

I admit it: I cloned my wife.
But before you imagine a Black Mirror episode, let me clarify—I didn’t do it to replace her at home… I did it to multiply her at work.

Francesca Zambonin, besides being the person I share my life with, is a brilliant and tireless lawyer, always looking for new ways to make the law more human and accessible.
After bringing legal advice online back in 2003—when broadband was still a fantasy—and exploring the metaverse well before it was cool, there was just one thing left: an avatar.

So, with the team we got to work. And this time, quite literally, I brought Francesca to life – digitally.

What we did

We created a realistic avatar that replicates her voice, face, and even her expressions. We used cutting-edge AI tools, but also rolled up our sleeves: hours of professional studio recordings at D-Video, lighting, cameras, vocal capture… all to create a natural, elegant result.

The outcome? An avatar that explains legal topics with a smile, in short videos for social media, the firm’s blog, and client communication. It speaks perfect Italian, but can also switch to French, English—or even Japanese.
It even has multiple outfits (and no, she’s not jealous).

Why we did it

Because people today are short on time and want clear, concise content.
And because not every professional feels comfortable on camera (spoiler: not even my wife).
With the avatar, the law firm can communicate consistently, professionally, and in a modern way, without having to turn on lights or rehearse a script every time.

And let’s be honest: a lawyer-avatar is a pretty great way to stand out.

Would I do it again?

Absolutely. In fact, if you’re a professional—a doctor, accountant, consultant, or yes, even another lawyer—you can do it too.
Clone yourself… but make it stylish.
